A new decision for customs in importing goods and country of origin

[Baghdad: Al Furat News} The General Authority of Customs issued a new decision on the import of goods and country of origin.
The agency said in a statement, received by the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it, “border customs centers will adopt the ratification of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the country of origin or the country mediator of certificates of origin and commercial invoices of imported goods when it can not obtain the approvals of Iraqi commercial attachés. 
She added that “this was based on the decision of the Council of Ministers No. 336 of 2018, which includes the adoption of the recommendations of the Conference on the development of the Iraqi economy, which paragraph (5) of the first axis of the non-required to certify the certificate of origin and invoices in the commercial attaches and only the ratification of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the country of origin Or intermediary country}. “
The Authority indicated that it had previously directed all its customs centers in 2018/9/17 with the contents of this resolution with a view to simplifying procedures for the clearance of imported goods through all federal border crossing points for the public and private sectors and that the decision is still in force.
