The Iraqi parliament is witnessing a move to form a passing parliamentary bloc to support the plans and directions of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi. This mobility through the deputies who spoke to Asharq Al-Awsat reveals a certain desire among a large number of deputies towards making a serious transient change to the blocs that were established on sectarian or ethnic lines and cannot abandon this affiliation.
The continuation of the series of crises in which Iraq is going through political, security, economic, and health prompted deputies, whose number up to the moment of writing this report reached 50 deputies, as the head of the Irada movement in the Iraqi parliament Hussein Arab says, to think about forming the new bloc. Arabs say that “these representatives who represent different blocs want to support the state and the government, in the sense that what they seek is a political alliance that stands behind the prime minister vis-à-vis the other blocs insofar as this alliance means taking two directions, namely supporting the state and government and evaluating the work of Parliament and the government together.”
In turn, you see a member of the Iraqi parliament from the State of Law coalition, Alia Nassif, that this bloc “in the event that it managed to establish its footing on the ground will be positively positive”, while a member of parliament says about Al-Nasr coalition, Riyadh al-Tamimi, that “forming a supportive group for the prime minister A step in the right direction so that he can work strongly and without impact. ” To that, Aras Habib Karim, the leader of the Iraqi National Congress, confirmed that “there is an awareness of the importance of overcoming the current difficult circumstances.”
