He added, “The two sides discussed during the meeting the most important developments of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and the efforts of the Arab Contact Group in dealing with the repercussions of the crisis, and its effects on the world,” noting that “the virtual meeting held today by the ministers of the “Arab Contact Group”, with the participation of the Secretary-General of the League Arab countries “.
According to the statement, the minister stressed that “the relevant ministers raised the effects and risks resulting from the continuation of the war, and its direct impact on international peace and security,” adding; The “Arab Contact Group” will hold a meeting to study issues related to its future work in order to activate its work for which it was established . For her part, the US ambassador stressed that the United States supports Iraq in various fields, and that it will continue to do so .
In turn, the ambassador looked forward to “the formation of the new Iraqi government during the coming period.”
