  {International: Al Furat News} Chinese President Xi Jinping begins today, Wednesday, an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which will continue until Friday.

And the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated that the visit comes at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and in order to strengthen the historical relations and the distinguished strategic partnership that unites the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China.

During the visit, a Saudi-Chinese summit will be held, chaired by King Salman and President Xi, with the participation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The visit program will include the presence of the President of China, the “Riyadh-Gulf-Chinese Summit for Cooperation and Development” and the “Riyadh-Chinese Arab Summit for Cooperation and Development”, with the participation of leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council states and Arab countries, including Iraq, “based on the distinguished relations that bind the GCC countries.” to the Arab Gulf states and the Arab countries” with China, according to the agency.

During the two summits, ways to enhance joint relations in all fields will be discussed, and prospects for economic and development cooperation will be discussed.

And the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council announced that the Gulf-Chinese summit will be held on Friday, while the Secretary-General of the Council, Nayef Al-Hajraf, stressed in a statement the importance of the Gulf-Chinese relations, as China is the first trading partner of the GCC countries.

And the Saudi Press Agency reported that more than 20 preliminary agreements will be signed with a value exceeding 110 billion riyals, equivalent to about $29 billion, in addition to the signing of the strategic partnership document between the Kingdom and China, and the harmonization plan between the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the Belt and Road Initiative, as will be announced. About the launch of the Mohammed bin Salman Award for Cultural Cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China.
