Among them is Kuwait.. The Iraq Reconstruction Fund reveals the details of grants provided by 3 countries

Mubasher: The Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations in Iraq revealed, today, Thursday, the details of the financial grants provided by Kuwait, Germany and China, while stressing that donor countries are committed to granting funds to projects.

The Director of the Media Office of the Fund, Muthanna Al-Askari, told the Iraqi News Agency “INA”, that the donor countries are committed to granting funds to the projects, stressing that the evaluation is high for the efforts made by these countries.

Al-Askari added that all donor countries such as China, Germany and Kuwait were up to the responsibility of supporting the Reconstruction Fund for Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations, as it is the supervising and monitoring body for implementation.

He explained, that the German grant allocated to build five hospitals dedicated to the Corona pandemic distributed over four provinces, two in Baghdad, the first in Rusafa in the Zafaraniya region, the second in Karkh in the Amiriya region, the third in Mosul and the fourth in Basra, and the fifth hospital in Sulaymaniyah.

He continued, “As for the Kuwaiti grant, it is allocated to the health sector of the affected governorates, and the first phase has been completed by building health centers distributed over the governorates,” adding: “As for the Chinese grant, it is dedicated to supporting the municipal sector by (118) mechanisms.”
