Shafaq News/ An official parliamentary source said that the Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Abdel Moneim Al-Awdat, will visit the Kurdistan Region to hold talks with the Kurdistan Region’s parliament focusing on bilateral relations and cooperation between the two parties.
The official in charge of the political file of the Speaker of the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region, Mahmoud Khoshnaw, told Shafaq News Agency, “The Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Abdel Moneim Al-Awdat, and his accompanying delegation, consisting of 15 deputies, is scheduled to visit the Kurdistan Region tomorrow, Sunday, as part of his current visit to Iraq.”
He added that “the Presidency of the Parliament of the Region will receive him at Erbil International Airport, and then he will go to the Parliament of Kurdistan to hold a session with the Presidency of the Parliament and 5 parliamentary committees to discuss bilateral relations and parliamentary cooperation at the level of Kurdistan Region and Iraq.”
On Wednesday evening, the Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament arrived in Baghdad at the head of a parliamentary delegation on an official visit, during which he met his Iraqi counterpart Muhammad al-Halbousi and Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi.
