The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masroor Barzani, today, Thursday, congratulated the Muslims in Kurdistan and the world on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha, stressing that the financial crisis is greater than the capabilities available to the Kurdistan government.
The following is the text of the congratulations:
“It gives me great pleasure, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, to extend my warmest congratulations and blessings to the Muslims in Kurdistan and the world, hoping that the celebrants will spend the days of Eid with joys and joys, and that they will adhere to precautionary measures and health instructions.
It is sad that Eid al-Adha falls on us while we were in a difficult economic situation, a difficult situation outside our will and the will of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
We have, with the beginning of the crisis, done everything in our power to reduce the negative consequences of the crisis on the lives and lives of citizens, but it is, unfortunately, that the financial crisis that has ravaged most of the countries of the world is greater than the financial capabilities available to the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Despite all the hardships, I sincerely hope that dear citizens will have full confidence in the region’s government, which has spared no effort in its endeavors to secure financial dues for those who receive salaries in the Kurdistan Region, hoping that our discussions with the federal government after the Eid holiday will lead to a balanced agreement that guarantees rights And constitutional dues to the people of the Kurdistan Region.
On this occasion, I wish, with the support of all parties, to overcome these difficult days, and for our people to celebrate their upcoming holidays when they are doing well. ”
