{Economic: Al-Furatah News} The Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, announced the completion of the draft federal budget law for the year 2023 and sent to the Council of Ministers for the purpose of discussing and voting on it.

Sami said in a statement received by {Euphrates News} a copy of it that “the completion of the project comes under exceptional circumstances in the global economy, and it came to deal with the effects of international, regional and local economic challenges.”

“The next budget project will focus on development priorities, supporting the social protection network, and the groups most in need, as well as providing a safe cover for sustainable strategic and development projects,” the finance minister said.

Sami continued, “We have worked throughout the past months of the new government to derive a budget that responds to the need of the Iraqi economy and is in line with the plans of the government curriculum and the package of financial and economic reforms that the ministry is working to achieve.”

The Council of Ministers is likely to vote in its next session the day after Tuesday on the draft budget law of 2023, and send it to the House of Representatives for approval.
