Minister of Oil: Kurdistan's exports are nearing the resumption and the region must deliver its oil to Sumo

  

{Economic: Al-Furat News} Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani confirmed the imminent resumption of export of oil to the Kurdistan Region.

Abdul Ghani said in a press statement from Washington, one of the members of the government delegation currently visiting the US capital under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, that “the ministry sent a letter to the Kurdistan Regional Government to deliver the oil produced from the fields to the only Sumo company authorized to market Iraqi oil, to be exported through the Iraqi-Turkish pipe to the port of Ceyhan.”

On reaching an agreement with oil companies operating in the Kurdistan region, he pointed out that there is no direct relationship between the oil companies operating in the region with the federal government.

“The territory has therefore been communicated that copies of these contracts should be handed over to be studied and adapted under the Constitution,” he added.
