Al-Araji sets the date of Turkish withdrawal from Iraq

National Security Adviser Qassim Al-Araji, on Wednesday, said that Iraq has taken new measures regarding the Turkish military presence in Iraq, noting that the Turkish presence will end immediately after the exit of the PKK elements.
Al-Araji said in an interview followed by Mawazine News, that “Iraq is able to face any challenges from ISIS elements and that the Turkish occupation of the territory of Iraq is unjustified.”
He added that “the Sudanese government has taken decisive measures on the border with Turkey and we have multiple files with the Turkish side.
He pointed out that “the Turks responded to the Iraqi delegation to solve the problems and they will leave Iraq as soon as the elements of Bakkah come out.”
He added that “a committee was formed in December to manage the file of security relations with Turkey, and the next meeting with the Turks has a complete paper to solve the fact that the development road project requires stability in the region.”
