An upcoming visit of the Iraqi president to Iran

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein announced today (Monday) an upcoming visit by President Abdullatif Rashid to Iran, without scheduling it.
The Foreign Ministry said, in a statement quoted by the Arab World News Agency, that Hussein discussed, during a phone call, yesterday with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdullahian, Rashid’s planned visit to Tehran.
The two ministers also touched on regional and international issues of common concern, reviewing developments in the region and the challenges it faces, and the need to support peace and stability.
In March, Iraqi President Abdullatif Rashid received the Iranian ambassador to Iraq, who was delivered an invitation from Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to visit Tehran.
