{Political: Al-Furat News} The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, met today, Tuesday, the Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, to discuss the latest local developments and political efforts to complete the constitutional entitlements, by resolving the selection of a Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Al-Mandalawi and Al-Sudani agreed, according to a statement to the First Bureau, a copy of which {Euphrates News} received, “on the need to complete the budget law schedules for 2024, and to expedite them to the House of Representatives for the purpose of discussing and voting on them, because of their link to the lives of citizens and their focus on investment spending for new projects.”
The two sides stressed “the importance of integrating the work of the legislative and executive authorities and its reflection on the speedy adoption of important laws, and supporting the efforts of implementing the government program and anti-corruption steps.”
