Earth News / The Parliamentary Finance Committee announced on Monday the details of a political agreement related to the budget law.
Committee member Mustafa Al-Karawi told Earth News that “the budget paragraphs have begun to mature definitively and we reached the points of contention that need discussion,” noting that “a political decision was agreed yesterday regarding the controversial points related to the share of the region and the governorates of the Middle Euphrates and the south by increasing their allocations.”
He added, “On the subject of the three-year budget, he included a clause that guarantees the House of Representatives that the government reviews and updates the schedules them and sends them to the Council for legislation and abide by the timings established in the law of the Ministry of Finance, provided that they are sent in the tenth month of each year.”
