Independent /- The Parliamentary Legal Committee resolved the controversy over the approval of the draft federal budget law in conjunction with the legislative holiday of the House of Representatives.
A member of the committee, MP Raed Al-Maliki, said in a press statement followed by his independent, that “the parliamentary finance committee will proceed in joint meetings to host ministers and governors until the end of May, until the completion of the budget in its final form.”
He added, “The legislative holiday will begin on May 9, but the House of Representatives extended its work for another month with the presence of the general budget, according to the rules of procedure, and will end the approval of the budget during the extension period before entering its legislative holiday.”
He continued to say that “the changes that will affect the provisions of the budget law relate to the paragraphs and items with financial basis,” indicating that “there are independent blocs and deputies who have reservations and observations, if they are not taken, we will resort to appealing the General Budget Law, which the Federal Court has set a period of one month to file appeals after the budget is approved.”
