Al-Sharifi said; For the “Free Talk” program broadcast by Al-Furat TV this evening, he said: “The Iraqi arena cannot be isolated from regional events,” warning of “the return of hot regional axes to the fore, including the axis of Raqqa, all the way to Sinjar and Wadi Hauran.”
He added, “The Syrian crisis has repercussions on security in Iraq and the region, and we are facing a challenge that is present in the regional balance.”
Al-Sharifi warned of “Iraq’s drift to the geographical isolation of the air cover, so if the isolation takes place and the clash takes place in Syria, it is assumed that it will not interfere in the origin of the battle that will take place between America and Russia.”
He called for “holding the stick from the middle in the event of tension in the events in Syria,” adding, “The initiative of the Sultanate of Oman will rearrange the file in Syria in a strange way. It included a change in the Syrian regime, but it did not stipulate a change in President Bashar al-Assad.”
And he added, “Syria’s return to the Arab embrace is still early because there is no consensus, and it is not in America’s interest to deteriorate the internal situation in Iraq.”
Al-Sharifi continued, “The lines of air strikes began in Syria, and the most dangerous axis is Albu Kamal to isolate Lebanon.”
And he indicated that “Iraq did not invest in the strategic agreement with America in 2010, and it is possible that the visit of the Iraqi security delegation to Washington is a prelude to the visit of Al-Sudani, but beware of anger and confrontation with the Americans.”
Al-Sharifi added, “The BRICS meeting terrified the United States of America after it announced the printing of banknotes that would topple the dollar, so it will fight to control the Middle East.”
Al-Sharifi stressed, “Not invoking international shocks and preserving local capabilities as deterrent capabilities holding the ground. In the event of friction in Syria or Lebanon, Iraq will be spared from that if it does not intervene.”
