The region receives 400 billion dinars from Baghdad for the salaries of its employees

{Economic: Al-Furat News} ‏The Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government announced today, Monday, that it received 400 billion dinars from the federal government.

“Within the framework of the agreement between the territorial government and the federal government, the amount was received to finance the salaries of employees,” the ministry said in a statement.

He added that “the amount sent by Baghdad was transferred to the bank account of the Ministry of Finance of the region.”

It is noteworthy that on January 25, the Federal Supreme Court ruled that the federal government sent funds to finance the monthly salaries of employees and workers in the public sector in the Kurdistan region, against the background of a member of the House of Representatives filed a complaint challenging the constitutionality of the federal government sending funds from the allocations of the Food Security Law to the regional government.
