The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement, of which Euphrates News Agency received a copy, that “during the meeting, they discussed mechanisms for joint cooperation in the field of supporting financial and banking policies and building human capacities, and discussing Iraq’s steps to engage with the international financial system, and the most prominent measures and reforms that the government is taking in this field.” The banking and financial sector, thus contributing to the promotion of economic development in Iraq.

The bank’s media said in a statement received by Mawazine News that “the bank began selling dollars to citizens for travel purposes in all its branches and offices in Baghdad and the provinces.”
He added, “The sale will be through the electronic payment card (MasterCard) issued by the bank exclusively and not more than (10000 dollars) per person per month, and according to the official exchange rate approved by the Central Bank of Iraq.” Finished 29/n33
Baghdad – Mawazine News The Ministry of Finance announced on Sunday that the draft IFMIS modernization system will provide several advantages, including improving account control and not exceeding budget appropriations.
A statement from the ministry received by Mawazine News said that “Minister of Finance, Taif Sami Mohammed, chaired the coordination meeting with the Steering Committee for the implementation of the project of modernization of public financial management systems.”
The statement pointed out that “the meeting was attended by the representative of the World Bank Salam Maarouf and the representative of the consulting company AARC responsible for preparing tender documents for the purchase of the system requirements, in the presence of the directors of the budget, accounting, legal, administrative and information technology departments in the ministry.”
He added that “during the meeting, the presentation made by the consulting company on the preliminary selection document to be published was heard in order to attract sober companies to implement the draft system, which in turn will contribute to increasing the speed of electronic communication of the Ministry of Finance with other ministries and institutions, improving the process of controlling financial accounts and not exceeding the financial appropriations prescribed by the budget

Twilight News / The head of the Court of the Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Region, Omid Sabah, announced on Sunday that a preliminary agreement was reached with the federal government on the draft budget law 2023.
Sabah said, in a statement received by Shafaq News, that “the delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government met today in Baghdad, with the Prime Minister of the Federal Government, Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani.”
He added that “after discussing the outstanding files between Erbil and Baghdad, a preliminary agreement was reached on the Maronite draft law 2023,” noting that “the atmosphere was positive between the two parties.”
For two months, Kurdish delegations have been conducting shuttle visits to Baghdad to negotiate outstanding issues between the center and the Kurdistan Region, during which they met with the parties concerned with budget files, the oil and gas law, and border crossings.
The delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government negotiating returned to Erbil last Tuesday, after conducting a two-day visit to Baghdad with the aim of resolving differences and outstanding issues between the two sides, on outstanding files, most notably the oil and gas law and the 2023 budget.

The Iraqi president touched on the file of displaced people, referring to the tragic situation experienced by displaced families, calling on international organizations to “make more efforts to secure the return of the displaced and provide them with the appropriate atmosphere.”
Rashid noted that “the Iraqi government pays attention to consolidating security and stability, curbing corruption, rehabilitating infrastructure and providing a decent life for citizens,” praising at the same time “the efforts of the United States in supporting Iraq in its war against terrorism and extremism.”
For her part, the US ambassador renewed her country’s support for Iraq’s efforts to enhance its security and sovereignty, praising the President of the Republic’s keenness to strengthen relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in the interest of the two peoples.
Romanovsky stressed the importance of “Iraq’s participation in the water conference to be held in New York, due to the scarcity of water and harsh climate changes,” expressing her hope that “the decisions of the conference will contribute to serious treatments to the problem of water scarcity in Iraq.”
Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq meets the Director General of the Arab Monetary Fund
His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Ali Mohsen Ismail, received the Director General of the Arab Monetary Fund, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Humaidi.
His Excellency the Governor said in his speech: The Arab Monetary Fund has made unremitting efforts in support, advice and training to the Central Bank of Iraq and its cadres in implementing field surveys related to indicators of financial inclusion in Iraq.
For his part, Dr. Al-Humaidi praised the role of the Central Bank of Iraq in strengthening the work of the Fund and supporting its policies and programs, while expressing the Fund’s readiness to provide technical support and capacity building in areas related to the work of the bank, praising the role of the Central Bank of Iraq in launching the payments platform (Bani) in the field
