The Parliamentary Finance Committee on Monday called on the government to expedite the sending of the General Federal Budget Law of 2023 to Parliament.
First Vice Chairman of the Committee Ahmed Mazhar al-Jubouri said that “after the formation of the government more than four months, we call on it to accelerate and work seriously to send the budget law for the year 2023 within a short period so that the Finance Committee can legislate it in the House of Representatives, especially since the time within the committee and the Council is short
Al-Jubouri added, “The law touches the poor classes, segments of retirees, contracts and daily wages, where the budget is expected to be sent, so that the Finance Committee can discuss it and submit it to the House of Representatives for a vote.”
Jubouri continued in a statement received by Mawazine News that “the budget is a long time in the drawers of the government,” stressing the need to “adherence to its legal and constitutional responsibility.” Finished 29/n33
