Central Bank expands cash dollar outlets for travelers

  

{Economic: Al-Furat News} The Central Bank of Iraq directed government banks (Al-Rafidain – Al-Rasheed – Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) to expand the outlets selling cash dollars to passengers at the country’s airports (Baghdad – Basra – Najaf – Erbil – Sulaymaniyah).

The bank also directed that receiving applications be in the morning and evening to include more passengers.

The Central Bank of Iraq indicated that the sale of the cash dollar includes travelers through land border crossings through the designated sales outlets in banks, after submitting the requirements for travel (visa or vehicle exit).

The Central Bank of Iraq denied this morning the news of preventing or restricting the sale of cash to citizens,” noting that “electronic registration ensures meeting the citizen’s need for dollars and prevents the recurrence of selling to the same person.” This measure is usually “as an opportunity for citizens to obtain the dollar for legitimate purposes without restrictions.”

  1. The citizens want their “Dinars” to buy what the US Dollar will buy. This looks simple to the citizens. THAT is why they are getting MAD ! Rich get richer and they see it !

  2. I believe the Iraq government is making the Dinar cheaper to get us to buy the Dinar with U.S. dollars. Then issuing new currency, making old currency worthless and non-redeemable to non Iraq citizens. WOW, what a scam and gigantic profit selling worthless paper.
