A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by Shafaq News, that “President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid received, on Monday, at the Baghdad Palace, the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations for Iraq, the Humanitarian Coordinator, Mr. Ghulam Mohammed Ishaq, and the delegation of the United Nations Human Settlements Program.

Rashid stressed the importance of the United Nations organizations to start the work they have,” noting that “we are waiting for more efforts and work for these UN organizations.”

Rashid pointed out that the role of the UN organization remains modest in supporting and encouraging the return of displaced people to their areas, stressing the need to apply the provisions of the Sinjar Agreement for its importance, accelerate the construction of appropriate housing and close the file of displaced people.

The president stressed that our priorities lie in resolving the file of displaced people, returning them to their residential areas, and improving their tragic living and housing conditions where health and food services are low, pointing out that this requires relentless and rapid efforts from all organizations to improve their situation.

Rashid expressed the readiness of the Presidency of the Republic to cooperate and support the return of displaced people to their residential areas.

Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed on Monday Iraq’s commitment to partnership with NATO, indicating that the Iraqi security forces have reached an advanced stage in their ability to fight terrorism.
The Information Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by Mawazine News a copy of it that “Sudani received the commander of the joint forces of NATO, Admiral Stuart Munch and his accompanying delegation,” pointing out that “the Sudanese expressed during the meeting his appreciation for the position of the alliance in support of Iraq in the face of terrorism by providing training to our security forces, stressing Iraq’s commitment to partnership with NATO and ensuring the sustainability of joint action.”

Finance Minister Taif Sami confirmed on Monday that Iraq has the requirements for a strong economy.
The ministry said in a statement received by Mawazine News a copy of it, that “Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, chaired today, Monday, an expanded meeting to follow up on the paragraphs of implementing the ministerial program submitted by the government program team in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry and its general managers.”
She continued, “The meeting discussed the objectives of the quarterly financial plan for the year 2030, and the basic paragraphs that involve developing the economy and controlling cash flows and services in various sectors, in order to achieve the basic objectives contained in the ministerial curriculum in the financial and economic aspects.”
According to the statement, “the meeting continued to study the most important requirements for the implementation of the government program according to a vision for the years (202-2025), which relates to investment plans, spending doors, maximizing the aspect of revenues outside the oil sector, and other visions consistent with the standards of the advancement of the national economy.”

Justice Minister Khaled Shawani confirmed the ministry’s desire to conclude memorandums of understanding in the legal and judicial fields with the United States in accordance with the strategic framework agreement between Baghdad and Washington.

Under the new measures, Iraqi banks are required to make dollar transfers on a new online platform with the Central Bank of Iraq, which is then reviewed by the Federal Reserve.
U.S. officials have said the system aims to curb the use of the Iraqi banking system for dollar smuggling and money laundering across the Middle East.
The dollar exchange rate in local markets has been rising for days and reaches 1600 dinars per dollar or slightly lower and sometimes exceeds it.
