Twilight News / Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shiaa al-Sudani is scheduled to visit Germany on Wednesday next week at the invitation of Chancellor Olaf Schultz.
“We will visit Germany on Wednesday next week at the invitation of Counselor Olaf Schultz, stressing that we will be keen through the visit to enhance the prospects for cooperation and economic partnership and address climate change,” Al-Sudani said in press statements, seen by Shafaq News.
“We will discuss gas investment and strengthen the presence of German investment companies in Iraq,” he added, noting that “we will put forward ideas to achieve economic partnerships to make Iraq a meeting point for the countries of the region in accordance with the common interests of all.”
Al-Sudani pointed out that “Iraq is keen to provide the appropriate conditions for the return of any Iraqi citizen in Germany or any other country,” pointing out that “security and stability are achieved in Iraq and we seek to impose the rule of law and provide conditions of decent living and social justice for all citizens.”
Al-Sudani stressed that “the Iraqi government has developed economic plans that address unemployment, provide jobs and improve services,” pointing out at the same time that “the Russian-Ukrainian war led to a rise in food prices globally and affected Iraq clearly.”
On the second of this month, Al-Sudani received an official invitation to visit Germany, during his meeting with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Iraq, Martin Yeiger, who handed Al-Sudani an official invitation from the German Chancellor to visit Berlin, where Al-Sudani expressed his thanks for the invitation and promised to meet it at the earliest
