  {Economic: Al-Furat News} The Baghdad International Fair will start tomorrow, Tuesday, after a 3-year hiatus due to the Corona pandemic in the country and the transformation of parts of the exhibition into quarantine sites.

The exhibition, in its 46th edition, will be held under the slogan “The Cradle of Civilizations… Progress and Challenges to Attract the World”, with Arab and foreign participation from 13 countries.
The exhibition will last for 10 days.

The President of the Republic arrives in Algeria today to participate in the Arab Summit

  {Political: Al Furat News} The President of the Republic, Abdel Latif Rashid, will arrive in Algeria today, Monday, to participate in the 31st Arab Summit, which will be held in Algeria on Tuesday.

Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein participated in the meeting of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level. The ministers discussed a number of items that were submitted to Arab presidents and kings.
The preparatory meeting was preceded by bilateral meetings between Arab foreign ministers to consult on draft resolutions that the leaders will discuss, including the situations in Palestine, Yemen, Libya, Syria and Sudan, and how to support Lebanon and Somalia.
During the summit, the issue of Arab food security will be raised, especially after the global and Arab economic slowdown following the Corona crisis and the Russian-Ukrainian war.
A source revealed that the representation of Arab countries may reach 15 presidents, kings, princes and prime ministers.
The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, delivered a speech at the opening session of the preparatory meeting of foreign ministers, in which he said: The summit is reconvening after nearly three years of interruption due to the Corona pandemic and in the midst of major events on the international and regional stage alike, adding: That we all be very keen on the summit and the periodicity of its convening, and consider Algeria’s hosting of this summit a sign of the resumption of what was interrupted.

Shafaq News/ Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani briefed, on Monday, the nature of banking and monetary transactions of the Central Bank of Iraq.

Al-Sudani’s media office said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that the latter met with the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb, and listened to a briefing on the conduct of monetary and banking transactions, and the rest of the aspects of the banking reality in Iraq, presented by the Governor of the Central Bank.

The meeting also witnessed a review of all aspects of the Central Bank’s work, and the most important challenges facing the national economy.
