Shafaq News/ Saleh Muhammad al-Iraqi, the so-called “Minister of the Leader” who is close to the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr, commented on Wednesday, on Shafaq News news agency’s readiness to change his candidate for prime minister, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani.
And the “minister of the leader” comment came on a publication of one of his followers, in which he said, “citing some agencies (the parties to the coordination framework sent messages to al-Sadr that they are ready to change the candidate for prime minister, Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani, with any candidate who has al-Sadr’s support, such as Jaafar al-Sadr, Qassem al-Araji or Hamid al-Shatri.” But al-Sadr refused to respond to these proposals.
The author of the publication added, “I say .. Mr. Al-Sadr is not like you without a principle. He said it and did it (I will not agree with you), but more than that (I will not engage in dialogue with you except in a public session) #Al-Sadr-Man-Standing-Stands.”
The Minister of Commander, Saleh Muhammad al-Iraqi, commented, “Liars, deceivers, no to corruption.”
And earlier today, Wednesday, informed political sources revealed that parties in the coordination framework informed the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, of their willingness to change the prime minister’s candidate, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani.
The sources told Shafaq News Agency, “The efforts of some parties in the coordination framework to communicate with the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr is still continuing, and there is a quest for the purpose of direct dialogue with al-Sadr, but the latter still refuses any negotiation with any political party.”
The sources indicated that “some parties to the coordination framework have sent messages to al-Sadr that they are ready to change the prime minister’s candidate, Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, with any candidate who has al-Sadr’s support, such as Jaafar al-Sadr, Qasim al-Araji or Hamid al-Shatri, but al-Sadr refused to respond to these proposals, and his position on the election session.” The president of the republic is still ambiguous until now.”
Tomorrow, Thursday, the parliament is preparing to hold a session to elect the president of the republic, amid the disagreement of the two main Kurdish parties (the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) on one candidate for the position.
