Shafaq News/ The office of the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, revealed the details of the meeting he had with the head of the Al-Fateh Alliance, the leader in the coordination framework Hadi Al-Amiri.
Earlier in the day, Masoud Barzani had received Hadi al-Amiri at his headquarters in the Salah al-Din resort in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
Barzani’s office said, in a statement received by Shafak News Agency, that “the meeting witnessed an exchange of views on the political situation, the latest developments and obstacles facing the political process in Iraq.”
The two sides stressed, according to the statement, the need for “political parties to take steps towards solving problems and dedicating efforts to get out of the political crisis.”
Al-Amiri arrived, at the head of a delegation from the Shiite coordination framework, on Sunday morning, to the city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region. The region’s Minister of Interior, Reber Ahmed, and Arafat Karam, the official in charge of the Arab file at Barzani’s headquarters, was received by him and his accompanying delegation.
Hours before the conduct of this tour, Al-Amiri met in the capital, Baghdad, Speaker of Parliament Muhammad Al-Halbousi, and Chairman of the Azm Alliance Muthanna Al-Samarrai, and discussed with them the latest developments in the political situation in the country, according to official statements.
