Earth News/ The head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Faleh al-Fayyad, confirmed today, Thursday, that the coordinating framework is still at his position and his candidate to head the next government is Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani.
Al-Fayyad said, in a statement followed by Earth News, that “Iraq’s situation is complicated and preparing for the upcoming parliamentary elections cannot be run by an incompetent government,” noting that “in 9 months of sharp political differences, Iraq managed to overcome crises, which is considered a victory.”
Al-Fayyad stressed that “the coordinating framework is still on his position and his candidate to head the next government is Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani,” stressing that “reform is required in Iraq and I support any reform process.”
Al-Fayyad added, “We asked Al-Sadr to open up to others, and he is still present in the political scene despite the resignation of his deputies.”
