Shafaq News/ The Federal Supreme Court, the highest judicial authority in Iraq, issued on Tuesday a clarification regarding the return of the resigned Sadrist deputies to Parliament.
In a statement received by Shafak News Agency, the court’s media office stated that “a number of social networking sites have authorized the Federal Supreme Court for the possibility of the resigned deputies returning to the House of Representatives, and this news is untrue.”
The court confirmed that it “did not declare on this matter and did not issue any statement regarding the matter.”
And a number of social networking sites reported news, quoting the Federal Supreme Court, of the possibility of the resigned Sadrist bloc deputies returning to Parliament by submitting a request to the Federal Supreme Court in accordance with Article 93 of the Constitution, because the resignation was not voted on by Parliament.

And the President of the Region said in a tweet to him on Twitter, “While we renew our call for a comprehensive Iraqi fraternal dialogue in Erbil, I affirm our support for Prime Minister Al-Kazemi’s call for dialogue between the Iraqi political parties to find a way out of the current crisis and work together to bring the homeland to safety.
He stressed that Iraq needs dialogue, understanding and joint responsibility to save it.
And Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi called in a statement yesterday, “all parties to calm down and reduce escalation, to start an initiative for a solution on national grounds, and not to be drawn into accusations, the language of treason, and the erection of hostility and hatred between the Brotherhood in the one country.”
He also called on “all parties to sit at the table of a national dialogue to reach a political solution to the current crisis, under the roof of Iraqi synergy and the mechanisms of national dialogue.”
A number of political leaders, including the head of the National State Forces Alliance, Mr. Al-Hakim, announced his support for Al-Kazemi’s initiative.
Shafaq News/ A close associate of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Saleh Muhammad al-Iraqi, nicknamed “Minister of the Leader”, called on Tuesday, the supporters of the Sadrist movement sit-in inside the Iraqi parliament building to evacuate it, announcing the start of forming a committee to manage protests.
Al-Iraqi said in a tweet on Twitter, followed by Shafak News Agency, “After the parliament was liberated and turned into a parliament for the people, thanks to God Almighty and the efforts of the heroic revolutionaries, the following has been decided.”
He added, “Evacuation of the parliament building and the transformation of the sit-in in and around Parliament and its approaches within a maximum period of 72 hours from the date of this publication.”
He continued, “If there are other places in front of which you should sit, instructions will come to you accordingly,” stressing that “the permanence of the sit-in is very important to achieve your demands, which we will provide you with later, so the sit-in must be organized in the form of meals with the momentum of the numbers remaining at specific times.”
Al-Iraqi pointed out that “the unified Friday prayers for the combined prayers of Baghdad, Babylon, Kut, Karbala and Najaf will be held in the celebration square at the end of this week.”
He concluded by saying, “We are in the process of forming a committee by the protesters to manage and organize the protests and take care of everything necessary.”
Since last Saturday morning, the Sadrist movement’s demonstrators stormed the fortified Green Zone in the capital, Baghdad, and the Iraqi parliament, and announced from there an open sit-in in protest against the candidate of the coordination framework to head the new government, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, and demanded that the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, take over the formation of the government.
