{Local: Al Furat News} The administration of the Al-Hussainiya Holy Shrine announced the opening date of the late Sheikh Ahmed Al-Waeli hospital in Karbala governorate, which is dedicated to treating (women) only, in conjunction with the advent of Eid Al-Ghadeer.
The project manager, Sajjad Muhammad Hassan, said in a statement to the threshold, that “work is in full swing in the project of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Waeli Hospital (may God have mercy on him) in Karbala Governorate, which is designated for treatment (for women) only,” noting that “on July 16, next year, it will witness The date of the full opening of the project to be in the service of citizens.
He explained that “Sheikh Ahmed Al-Waeli Hospital is divided into two buildings. The first building consists of (11) floors, and includes emergency, pharmacy, administration, sonar, central laboratory, and operating theaters, in addition to special rooms for natural childbirth, and others for intensive care.”
He added that “the second building of the project is a special floor for medical gases, and a treatment plant, in addition to a floor dedicated to the (MRI) device, while the remaining floors contain radiology devices, breast cancer treatment devices, and a scanner, in addition to sleeping rooms.”
He pointed out that “the hospital’s bed capacity is (212) beds for the two phases, and it includes (8) operating theaters.”
The Department of Engineering and Technical Projects at the Imam Hussain shrine had revealed earlier that the hospital includes (8) halls that were distributed between the fifth and sixth floors, and that these halls are the most modern in Iraq because of their advanced technologies because they are mobile through the possibility of raising the walls and returning them electronically. As well as sterilization methods according to international standards (VIP), and the administration of the Husseiniya shrine contracted with one of the most important Italian companies with high experience to cover the halls with glass, which made it the first of its kind in Iraq and some countries in the region.
It is noteworthy that Sheikh Ahmed Al-Waeli Hospital, which is implemented by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, is for women only, and is located in one of the most important streets of Karbala Governorate (Al-Iskan Street), which is famous for the abundance of medical clinics.
