Earth News/ Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and US Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller discussed, today, Wednesday, the continuation of strengthening bilateral relations between Baghdad and Washington.
The office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by “Earth News” that “the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, received, today, Wednesday, the American ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Tueller, on the occasion of the end of his work.”
He added that “the two sides discussed the continued strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves the common interests.”
Al-Halbousi referred to the ambassador’s efforts during his tenure in Iraq in this field, wishing him success in his future assignments.
For his part, Tueller thanked the Speaker of the House of Representatives, stressing his country’s continued support for Iraq in all fields; To achieve security and stability.
