The federal government sends 200 billion dinars to finance the salaries of the region’s employees

Shafaq News/ Today, Sunday, the federal government sent 200 billion Iraqi dinars to finance the salaries of employees and workers within the public sector in Kurdistan Region.

An informed source in the regional government told Shafak News Agency, that the Federal Ministry of Finance deposited 200 billion dinars in the account of the Central Bank branch in Erbil, with the aim of financing the salaries of employees for the month of last April.

On the ninth of this month, the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the regional government began distributing the salaries of last April.

On Wednesday, provincial government spokesman Jotiar Adel said that the total monthly salaries required about 616 million dollars.

He explained that the salaries are generally provided as follows: oil revenues of 350 million dollars, internal revenues 128 million dollars, the money that the federal government sends 138 million dollars, pointing out that in January and February the money that was supposed to Baghdad sends it to finance the salaries of the region’s employees.
