The Presidency of the House of Representatives meets on the election of the President of the Republic and issues two decisions

{Politics: Al Furat News} The Presidency of the House of Representatives held, today, Thursday, a meeting to discuss the provisions and procedures related to the nomination of the post of President of the Republic. 

According to a statement by the Council’s media department, {Al-Furat News} received a copy of it: “It was decided during the meeting:

1) Announcing the names of the candidates for the post of President of the Republic who meet the legal conditions on next Monday, January 31, after completing the legal procedures based on the Law No. 8 of 2012 on the Provisions for Candidacy for the Post of President of the Republic.

2) Setting Monday, February 7, as the date for the House of Representatives session to elect the President of the Republic.
