{Local: Al Furat News} The Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, Sirwan Abdullah Serini, announced the completion of all procedures to hold the first session of the House of Representatives in its fifth session on the scheduled date next Sunday morning.
The Secretary-General said in a press statement, “The General Secretariat of the House of Representatives has completed all the security, administrative and technical procedures and preparations for holding the first session of the House of Representatives in its fifth session on schedule next Sunday morning.”
He pointed out that “a meeting was held this morning with the head of the age to discuss these procedures and give an explanation of the paragraphs listed on the meeting’s agenda and inform him of the steps by which the voting process will take place on the Speaker and his two deputies.”
The Secretary-General stressed the importance of this new session of the House of Representatives in the future of Iraq and the aspirations and hopes of the people, given the circumstances that Iraq went through during the previous parliamentary session and the accompanying various political, popular, security and health events and the clear change of the Iraqi political arena and what the elections produced from a new map of political forces Especially the popular ones.
