Shafaq News/ On Monday, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, sent a letter to the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani.
Al-Sadr said in a televised statement that Barzani “does not sympathize with the Americans,” calling for “exiting the occupation from Iraq.”
Al-Sadr explained, “We benefit Barzani more than the Americans,” adding, “I consider myself a Kurd, a Sunni, a Turkmen and a Sa’bi.”
He stressed that “there are corrupt people among the Shiites as well,” warning against “dividing Iraq and making it a morsel of the West.”
