Baghdad / Obelisk: Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken affirmed, on Sunday, November 7, 2021, their keenness to commit to strengthening bilateral relations.
And the Prime Minister’s media office said in a statement received by Al-Masala, that Al-Kazemi received a phone call from US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, indicating that Blinken expressed his anger and deep concern over the cowardly attack on the Prime Minister, which represents an attack on Iraq and its sovereignty, and not on Only the prime minister.
According to the statement, Blinken expressed the United States of America’s high appreciation for Al-Kazemi’s leadership approach, and his courage in facing the difficult challenges facing the country, and threatening its security and stability.
Al-Kazemi and Blinken affirmed their keenness to commit to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, to serve the interests of their peoples.
In the same context, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi received a phone call from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, in which he expressed his condemnation and condemnation of the terrorist attack against the Prime Minister.
Johnson expressed his wishes for Al-Kazemi’s safety, stressing the UK’s strong support for Iraq and its government in its efforts to achieve and consolidate stability.
For his part, Al-Kazemi affirmed Iraq’s keenness to build a long-term partnership with Britain, and the need to strengthen bilateral relations between the Iraqi and British peoples for the benefit of the two friendly countries in various fields.
Al-Kazemi’s house in the Green Zone, Baghdad, was subjected to a missile attack by a drone, which resulted in the injury of three members of his protection, and material damage to the contents of the house.
And the Security Media Cell announced in a statement that Al-Kazemi was subjected to a failed assassination attempt by a booby-trapped drone that tried to target his residence in the Green Zone in Baghdad without being hurt.
Mustafa Al-Kazemi confirmed his safety from the assassination attempt, and Al-Kazemi wrote in a post on his official Twitter account that he was fine, calling for calm and restraint from everyone for the sake of Iraq.
