Al-Halbousi: We won 43 seats in parliament and we will ally with the political forces

Baghdad/The Obelisk: The leader of the National Progress Alliance and the former Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, announced that his alliance won 43 seats in the elections across Iraq, indicating that they will ally with those who put Iraq’s interest above narrow interests.

Muhammad Al-Halbousi said in a statement to Al-Masala that the National Progress Alliance won 43 seats at the level of Iraq, stressing that the Progress Party will demand the rights of all Iraqis, according to Rudaw Network.

He pointed out that they will ally themselves with all the benevolent political forces that will prevail over the interests of Iraq over narrow factional interests.

It is noteworthy that the preliminary results indicate that the Sadrist movement won 73 seats, while the State of Law coalition won 37 seats, while the Kurdistan Democratic Party won 32 seats.
