, Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi confirmed, on Tuesday, that the number of arrivals to Karbala governorate to perform the fortieth pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, “peace be upon him,” has reached 17 million.
Al-Ghanimi said in a joint press conference with the governor of Karbala, Nassif Al-Khattabi, that “the number of arrivals to Karbala reached 17 million visitors,” declaring “the success of the security plan for the Arbaeen visit.”
For his part, Al-Khattabi said: “We announce the success of all service plans for the Arbaeen visit,” noting that “99,000 employees from all institutions and ministries participated in the success of the visit.” Ended 29 / h
