The United States announces its support for the Baghdad Conference

On Friday, the United States of America announced its support for the Baghdad conference, which will be held tomorrow, Saturday.
And the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, “Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein made a phone call to the National Security Adviser to US President Jack Sullivan, extending his condolences to the US government for the fall of a number of American soldiers, in addition to a number of Afghan citizens, following the bombing that took place yesterday in the Afghan capital, Kabul.”
According to the statement, Hussein stressed that “the Iraqis fought ISIS terrorists and sacrificed their children in order to save the region from the danger of terrorism. Expressing his strong condemnation of this terrorist act.”
In turn, Sullivan thanked the Secretary of State for the call, noting that “the Iraqis were proactive in fighting terrorism and its groups, and this solidarity with the families of the victims is evidence of the sense of solidarity among many of the sons of Iraq who were victims of such terrorist operations.”
Sullivan declared, “We must continue to fight them and defeat them wherever they are,” stressing the importance of holding the Baghdad conference, tomorrow, Saturday, describing the conference as evidence of the effectiveness of Iraqi diplomatic work.
And he stressed that “the United States of America supports holding this meeting.” End 29 /NS
