On Friday, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced that he would back down from the decision to boycott the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Al-Sadr said in a press conference, which was followed by “Mawazine News”, that he “received a reform paper from the political forces”, which invited him to participate in the upcoming elections.
Al-Sadr added, “The paper came in accordance with our aspirations, and the interest required that we run in the elections.”
He noted, “We will run the elections with determination and determination,” saying: “I find myself in need of you, and thank you to Brother Al-Kazemi.”
Al-Sadr directed his supporters by saying: “I find myself in need of your standing with me through your million-dollar stand in the demonstration square and the parliament dome at another time.”
