Jordan announces the return of shipping to Iraq on a round-to-door system

He pointed out that The decision came based on the intensive follow-up of the Chambers of Industry and their continuous demands to allow shipment to Iraq in a “round to round” way.
He stressed that “the decision will reduce shipping costs to Iraq and enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian products in the Iraqi market, expressing his hope that it will reflect positively on Jordanian exports.”
For his part, the head of the Syndicate of Owners of Clearance and Cargo Transport Companies, Dhaifallah Abu Aqoula, explained that “the decision that allows Jordanian trucks to enter directly into Iraqi territory, and the same for Iraqi trucks to enter the territory of the Kingdom, will reflect positively on the overall transportation system, the freight fleet and exports.”
Abu Aqoula said in a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), that “the decision will reduce the time periods for the merchant and industrialist, and speed up the process of the arrival of Jordanian goods to the Iraqi market, in addition to activating the truck sector and accelerating the flow of goods passing through the transit route.” Ended 29/A43
