, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Elections Affairs, Hussein Al-Hindawi, revealed, on Saturday, the most prominent outcomes of the meeting, which was held in the presence of the presidencies, leaders of blocs, and the representative of the United Nations with the Electoral Commission.
Al-Hindawi told the official news agency, “The meeting, which was held in the presence of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi, President of the Supreme Judicial Council Faiq Zaidan, and the deputy representative of the United Nations in Iraq with the Electoral Commission came out in a positive atmosphere.”
He added, “The attendees stressed their commitment to the date of holding the elections on the tenth of next October.”
He pointed out that “the meeting discussed all issues related to the October elections, whether from the technical side or providing support to the Electoral Commission to overcome difficulties.”
He explained that “the Electoral Commission provided a detailed explanation about its preparations and the development of its work.” Ended 29/R77
