Baghdad / Obelisk: On Friday, July 23, 2021, Iraq and Lebanon signed a formal agreement to export crude oil to Lebanon.
An informed source said in a statement received by “The Obelisk”, that the Lebanese side, represented by Minister Raymond Ghajar, and in the presence of Major General Abbas Ibrahim, signed an official agreement with the Iraqi government to raise the amount of crude oil from 500 thousand tons to one million tons, provided that the two parties sign tomorrow the final agreement for the donation of fuel.
He added that the Iraqi ships are supposed to arrive within weeks.
A Lebanese delegation headed by Major General Abbas Ibrahim, Director General of Lebanese Security, arrived today in the capital, Baghdad; To complete the final touches with Iraqi officials in an agreement to export oil to Lebanon.
