On Thursday, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, announced the issuance of arrest warrants for the killers of Hisham Al-Hashemi and the demonstrators .Zaidan told the Iraqi News Agency, “The judiciary has issued arrest warrants against those accused of killing Hisham Al-Hashemi,” noting that “some cases of the killers of demonstrators have been completed, including the issuance of death sentences against officers .”He added that “the judiciary did not succumb to any pressure in the case of Qassem Mosleh.”
