Baghdad, May 12, Oman / The Iraqi Ministry of Oil revealed today that it is holding talks with the United States and China to invest gas in Dhi Qar and Maysan, indicating that the Karbala refinery will work to stop the import of oil derivatives.

Governorate of Mesan”.
He added that “the governorates of Maysan and Dhi Qar will add up to 500 million cubic meters per day,” noting that “there are advanced discussions with Total in the Artawiyah gas investment field, and as a first stage they will start with an increase in production up to 300 million cubic meters in a record time, and this would make This will be reflected on gas investment, which will positively affect national gas production. ”
Jihad said, “The ministry has made a great achievement in the Karbala oil refinery project in the Karbala province, which is one of the most promising projects and a quantum leap in the manufacturing industry and the refineries.”
He mentioned that “the completion rate of the Karbala refinery project is currently around 90%, and it is hoped that the trial operation stages will start early next year, which will stop the import after operating this refinery, in addition to other projects.”
