Today, Tuesday, the Cabinet decided to impose a comprehensive curfew for a period of 10 days to limit the spread of the Corona pandemic and apply preventive measures.
The Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received (Baghdad Today), “The Cabinet approved, in its session held today, Tuesday, the recommendation of the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety to impose a comprehensive curfew for a period of 10 days, starting from May 12 to May 22, 2021. To limit the spread of the Corona pandemic and apply preventive measures through social distancing and other preventive conditions, especially after the Ministry of Health recently recorded an increase in the number of injuries throughout Iraq.
The statement added that “the comprehensive curfew decision includes closing malls, restaurants, cafeterias, cafes, cinemas, parks, event halls, weddings, swimming pools, sports halls, etc., as well as prohibiting the establishment of human gatherings in all their forms.”
