He noted that “the 5 + 1 group aims for Iran not to acquire a nuclear weapon, which is also our goal,” stressing that “on our part, there will be no concession to ease the sanctions at the present time only after Iran’s commitment to stop its escalatory steps.”

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif sent a message to the European countries that are members of the nuclear deal on Sunday before the Vienna meeting scheduled for next Tuesday.

In a statement today, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said: “The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, held a telephone conversation with his British counterpart Dominic Raab, during which the two sides discussed the latest developments related to the nuclear agreement, especially the holding of the Joint Committee meeting in Vienna, next Tuesday.”

The statement added that Zarif called during the call “the European countries that are members of the nuclear agreement to respect their obligations in the agreement and to participate constructively in the upcoming Vienna meeting.”

The head of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Haitham Al-Jubouri, said, according to the official agency, that “the total of new borrowing in the 2021 external budget amounts to more than two billion dollars as a ceiling, but Real borrowing does not exceed 350 million dollars, as for the internal debt, it will not exceed 5 trillion from the central bank when needed. ”

Al-Jubouri added, “There is a paragraph in the 2021 budget that includes fixing contractors by introducing job grades on the condition that they bear the relevant department expenses without burdening the state treasury with financial burdens.”

He pointed out that “the current year’s budget included job grades for the ministries of health, service departments, water and sewage, and the Baghdad Municipality, and the Federal Service Council will supervise them.”

Shafaq News / On Monday, a government source revealed that the currency auction was suspended for a week due to banks ’fear of changing the dollar’s price.

The source said in an interview with Shafaq News that “banks have stopped participating in the currency auction that the Central Bank conducts daily during the past week, as a result of their fear of changing the dollar exchange rate in the budget that was approved last week.” 

He added, “It is expected that banks will participate in the auction and submit their requests to the bank to buy the dollar, starting from the current week,” noting that “these requests will be implemented during the end of the week or the beginning of next week.”

On Wednesday (March 31, 2021), the Iraqi parliament voted on the federal budget law for the fiscal year 2021, with a deficit of more than 28 trillion dinars, and a tug of war that continued for months.

The general budget revenues amounted to more than 101 trillion Iraqi dinars, while expenditures were estimated at 129 trillion dinars.

And some political blocs had called for a reduction in the price of the dollar in the budget, which made the price of the dollar affected in the local markets between the ups and downs.
