Presidency of Parliament revealed, today, Saturday, that there are parties seeking to obstruct the approval of the draft federal budget bill for the fiscal year 2021.
The second deputy speaker of parliament, Bashir Al-Haddad, said during a press conference, “The government and most of the members of the Finance Committee while keeping The exchange rate is in its current condition, “noting that” a meeting will be held with the governor of the central bank, and a joint committee will be formed from the government and parliament to discuss how to maintain the price without affecting market conditions. ”
He added, “The Presidency of the Council of Representatives will hold a meeting with the parliamentary blocs prior to the session to reach an agreement to pass the budget.”
He revealed, “There are parties seeking to obstruct the passage of the bill and for Iraq to remain without a budget this year.”
Tomorrow, Sunday, the House of Representatives will hold a special session to vote on the draft federal budget bill for the fiscal year 2021.
