the US ambassador to Baghdad, Matthew Toller, today, Saturday, congratulated the Iraqis on the occasion of the Nowruz holidays, while affirming Washington’s partnership with Baghdad.
“I offer you my warmest greetings on the occasion of Nowruz holidays, to the people of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and to all Iraqis who celebrate it,” Tueller said, in a statement seen by the National News Center.
He added, “As we celebrate the first day of spring, the United States reaffirms its partnership with Iraq and the Iraqi people, and as we look forward to the next year, we remain committed to helping the Iraqi people as they continue to build a secure, stable and prosperous Iraq.”
