Today, Saturday, the Saeron Alliance sent a message to the House of Representatives regarding next Monday’s session, whose agenda includes the voting clause on the draft federal budget bill for the fiscal year 2021.
The deputy of the coalition, Hawazen Al-Shammari, said in a statement received by the National News Center: “In light of the current circumstances that our dear country is going through related to the challenges of the Corona pandemic and the stifling economic crisis, and in order to cross our homeland to safety and overcome all the challenges resulting from the delay in approving the budget. In order not to repeat the scenario of delay in the distribution of salaries of employees and retirees, social welfare benefits and brothers, contracts and procedures in all ministries, especially contracts and wages of the Ministry of Electricity, who have passed a full year since their appointment without paying their financial dues, we call on the distinguished parliament to vote on the general budget for 2021 at next Monday’s session And leave aside all differences and think about the supreme national interest.
Al-Shammari added, “Looking at the depth of the citizen’s interests calls for uniting efforts, rejecting political differences, and the trend towards voting on the budget, which is greatly delayed and after the people’s eyes have come to the people’s representatives to resolve this important file, especially after the Parliamentary Finance Committee and the committee formed by the government have finished. All notes on the budget, so Monday’s vote on the general budget represents a response to a popular demand that cannot be ignored.
It is hoped that the Presidency of the House of Representatives will present, in next Monday’s session, the draft federal budget bill for the fiscal year 2021, to the deputies for the purpose of voting on it, but the disagreement between Baghdad and Erbil over the Kurdistan region’s share still exists until the moment.
