Mirza said in a press statement, “The committee has put in place a paragraph in the draft budget law, through which it obligates the Kurdistan Regional Government to distribute the salaries of employees without any deduction.

And if the governments of the center and the region reach an agreement on the budget and Baghdad sends the money to Kurdistan.”

He pointed out that “tomorrow, Sunday, a meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Muhammad Al-Halbousi, Chairman of the Houses of Representatives, with the heads of parliamentary blocs to discuss the draft law of the Federal Court.”

Mirza indicated that “after the meeting, a decision will be taken to include the budget bill or not.”

It is noteworthy that the head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s representative in Baghdad, Faris Issa, confirmed that a government delegation from Erbil will go to the capital, Baghdad, a day before the presentation of the fiscal budget bill for 2021 to vote in the House of Representatives scheduled for next Monday.

For his part, the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, called for a vote on the draft budget law next Monday, but the matter has not yet been settled due to the objection of the Shiite blocs to the formula contained in the draft on the share of the Kurdistan region.
