Baghdad – Al-Mawred News
The deputy of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Ikhlas Al-Dulaimi, confirmed today, Thursday, that so far, there is no agreement between Baghdad and Erbil regarding Kurdistan’s share of the budget.
Al-Dulaimi said in a television interview, “We have not yet reached any agreement regarding the budget for the Kurdistan region for the year 2021, and negotiations are still continuing.”
She added, “The Kurdish delegation, during its previous visit to the Finance Committee, showed unprecedented flexibility to resolve disputes with Baghdad in a format satisfactory to all parties.”
Al-Dulaimi pointed out that “the director of financial control in the regional government provided all the data on the financial rights and revenues of the region, but to no avail, because of the insistence of some forces on handing over all of the oil and revenues to Kurdistan.”
