Saleh and Fayyad affirm the respect for the sovereignty of Iraq and refuse to interfere in its internal affairs

(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The President of the Republic and the Head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, on Sunday, affirmed respecting the sovereignty of Iraq and refusing to interfere in its internal affairs

The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement that the Euphrates News received a copy of it that the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received in the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Faleh al-Fayyad. In achieving security and stability, and affirming respect for the sovereignty of Iraq and rejecting interference in its internal affairs. ” 

He added, “The meeting stressed the importance of continuing the security effort to combat terrorism and pursue ISIS cells that are trying to destabilize some areas, in addition to strengthening the authority of the state and its security services in protecting the security of citizens.”
